Just like the L'il Champs contestants, Alka Yagnik began singing when she was a little kid. She got her first break in Hindi films with the film Payal ki Jhankar and then there was no looking back. The super hit song Mere Angane Mein gave her instant recognition. And then followed the evergreen song Ek Do Teen from the film Tezaab.

The versatile singer has sung in Punjabi, Bengali and Marathi too. Alka Yagnik has earlier judged reality show like Sa Re Ga Ma Pa Challenge and Star Voice of India, both of which are reality shows to find talented singers.

Abhijit

Abhijit Bhattacharya's real life story of grit and perseverance, could script a Bollywood movie. Leaving the sanctuary of his Kanpur home and aim of becoming a chartered accountant, Abhijit plunged into the uncertain world of Bollywood.

Abhijit has carved a niche for himself and lent his voice to Bollywood mega stars like Shah Rukh Khan and Aamir Khan. The legendary R D Burman gave him his first break in the film Anand aur Anand, the debut film of Dev Anand’s son. Abhijit gained popularity in the 1990s with the songs Chandni Raat Hai and Har Kasam Se Badi Hai. The high point of his career has been the opportunity to sing with his idol, the evergreen Kishore Kumar.

Besides Hindi film songs, Abhijit has also recorded two non-film albums. He was awarded Filmfare Best Male Playback Award for the song Main Koi Aisa Geet Gaaoo (Yes Boss, 1997). Abhijit is married and has two children.

Welcome to the official Hero Honda Sa Re Ga Ma Pa L’il Champs 2009 website – your ultimate source for all the information on season 3 of your favorite Zee TV show.Sa Re Ga Ma Pa L’il Champs is a unique platform where kids, in the age group of 8-13 years, showcase their singing talent to the world. With this show, Zee TV continues to celebrate a child’s intrinsic talent and also allows the child to compete on a worldwide platform, giving him/her unprecedented exposure and experience.

This year, boys and girls will compete for the coveted Sa Re Ga Ma Pa L’il Champs title and a singing contract worth Rs 50 lacs – the highest in the world.

he Sa Re Ga Ma Pa L’il Champs 2009 contestants are selected from across India through auditions in Delhi, Mumbai, Kolkata, Lucknow, Ahmedabad, Jaipur, Indore & Chandigarh.

While Didi Alka Yagnik will train the girls, Dada Abhijit will guide the boys. Alka Yagnik and Abhijit will also judge the kids’ performances. There will be a third neutral Judge, who will play a part in deciding who the best is, boys or girls.
